This proprietary ultraflat glass enhances microarray performance, enabling more accurate reading of microarrays by confocal laser scanners. NTop-AS are made of special low-fluorescent glass slides with the standard size of 25x75.5x1mm. The overall dimensions of the slide makes it compatible with most microarray spotters and scanners. NTop-AS have very uniform coating layer and optimal density of reactive groups. Compatible with all commercial microarray detection systems Nuricell Top-grade AmineSlides(NTop-AS) allow efficient non-covalent binding of nucleic acids, proteins and other molecules. NTop-AS contain primary amine groups (NH 3 + ) attached covalently to the glass surface. The amines carry a positive charge at neutral pH. Nucleic acids will bind non-covalently via the negatively charged phosphate backbone. The non-covalent(electrostatic) binding of nucleic acid immobilization can be transformed into covalent coupling by UV-crosslinking or heat treatment. The combination of electrostatic binding and covalent attachment couples the DNA to the substrate is a highly stable manner. |
