Telejet Keyboard Simulator Description
The TKS is controlled by a Controlling PC over proprietary serial interface bus, which is designed to minimize cabling requirements from one controlling PC (usually a small server running a web browser and the free Web Resetter Server site on it). This serial interface bus is controlled by the serial output of the controlling PC, amplified by the TKS Hubs.
The incoming lines of the serial connector are directly connected to the output connector to connect the next TKS; one for each line. Between the Serial Bus and the PC side of each TKS are optokoupplers which guarantee a galvanic separation of the Controlled PC and the Controlling Bus.
Each TKS has a unique address in its Microcontroller which is printed on its label for addressing over the BUS.
