The DT-2236C, allows the safe measurement of rotational speeds, velocities and distances. It measures rpm both optically and mechanically, surface velocities and distances mechanically. Equipped with an automatic display switching from optical to mechanical operation. It allows you to do that accurately and quickly surface speed and length both from a distance using the non-contact mode, rotational speed (RPM) is measured using a visible beam of light and by using the contact operating mode, the speed is sensed by directly contacting rotating device using one of the contact adapters supplied with the instrument. It also has the widest measuring range on the market, providing the from 0.5 to 99,999 RPM.
A 5-digit clear digital display shows the exact RPM with no guessing or errors. Its memory function automatically store the last taken maximum and minimum values upon pressing the memory button. Simply stick a little of the supplied reflective tape to a spinning object (works well with gyroscopes). Then point the laser at the spinning object to take a rpm reading and you'll get the result instantly.
