PPS(PACSPARTNER Server) Description
PACSPARTNER Server Software
DB (Database) and File (Image File Storage) Server
Description
After PPS(PACSPARTNER Server) receives image data from the PPE(DICOM gateway),
it creates a database, and store image data to short-term storage devices. The
former is DB server of PPS and the latter is File Server of PPS. Both can be
installed at one server hardware for small and medium-sized hospitals or at
two server hardware separtely for large-scale enterprise PACS.
DB Server manages text and image data of PACSPARTNER based on DB schema (Medical
Standard) and DB engine of MS SQL (microsoft, US). File Server consists of directories
and files of images made by PPS rule.
Key Modules
- File Storage Module
To store images from PPEs using WIndows IIS (Internet Information Service) as FTP Server. - Storage Manager Module
To protect disk of file storage full because it keeps PPE send new images to avaialbe hard disk. - Flushing Module
This module deletes image files of the short-term storage device based on saving policy to maintain free space of it. It can delete only image files which were archived to LTA(Long-Term Archive). - Admin Tool Module
This module performs the following administrative jobs;
- Register new user,
- Classify the user level,
- Update patient and study information which stored in database
- Repair the deleted image. - Fetch Manager Module
This module monitors fetching of PPA. (See Products I > PPA)
- Show requested list for fetching from PPW.
- Show the progress of fetching, for example, working, done, etc.
- Show the information of DVD Jukebox including media level, space, etc.
- Show the priority of fetching.
Note: When you are not using DVD-Jukebox, fetch manager module is not working. - Compression Module
This module makes lossless compressed and original images be lossy compressed.
The basic rule of lossy compression is set by the value of Q-Factor box. If the value is increased, the image will be more lossy compressed.
Features
- Minimum server load with operation in module units
- Module unit configuration allows easy monitoring
- Versatile integration with storage devices (SAN, DAS, NAS)
- Cluster structure for database and file reliability
New Features
1) Multiple DICOM Q/R SCP
PACSPARTNER supports DICOM Query and Retrieve function to get and display images
from multiple DICOM servers or workstations of third vendors and vice versa.
On the environment for teleradiology, powerfull features of PACSPARTNER can
comply with 3rd vendor PACS or teleradiology products remotely.
Hardware Requirements
