General Introductions
The genome of Porcine Respiratory and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRSV) is similar in organization to the those of the other arterivirus. The genome contains eight open reading frames which encode specific viral proteins.
ORF2 (gp2): 29~30 Kda, ORF3 (gp3): 45~50 Kda
ORF4 (gp4): 31~35 Kda, ORF5 (gp5): 25 Kda
ORF6 (M): 18 Kda (Unglycosylated membrane protein)
ORF7 (N): 15 Kda (Nucleocapsid protein)
