General Introductions
Porcine Circovirus Virus(PCV) is a member of the Circoviridae family. PCV replicates in the Porcine Cell lines and is dependent upon cellular proteins expressed during the S-phase of the cell cycle. It was reported PCV type 2 as a cause of congenital tremers in the newborn pigs and called postweaning mutisystemic wasting sydrome(PMWS) ,but PCV Type 1 is not pathogenic virus. Monoclonal antibody against PCV Type 2 ORF2 protein can differentiate PCV Type 1and 2 virus.
