All our pearls our black saltwater cultured pearls from the Black Lipped Oyster (Pinctada Margaritifera). Although they are called black pearls, they range in colour from silver through too shades of green, and hues of purple and iredescent black.
Our jewellery offers excellent value as they are direct from our farm to you, all our pearls are certified to be genuine saltwater cultured pearls which have not been dyed or treated in any way.
The Cook Islands are known to produce the most beautifull pearls in the world, they range in size with an average of 10-12mm while sizes can reach 18mm, with thick lustrous nacre. The Black Lipped Oyster is sensitive and will only flourish in certain lagoons which limits the number of pearls able to be produced. To produce pearls of this size and quality they take 2 years too develop, and the clear warm lagoon of Penrhyn is ideal.
