Aerochamber Description

Introduction Respiratory symptoms associated with asthma or COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), are commonly treated with prescription aerosol medications delivered through pressurized Metered Dose Inhalers (pMDIs) or ¡°puffers¡±. A puffer contains two things: the medication and the propellant that carries the medication to the lungs. Aerosol therapies are effective because they act quickly and with few side-effects. However, because typical puffers deliver a dose at over 100 km per hour [Newman, 1983], effective delivery of the medication to the lungs can be difficult. To be effective, the puffer needs to be pressed during inhalation so the medication is able to reach the deepest part of the lungs. Without this coordination, the benefit of the medication is minimized as some of the medication is trapped in the mouth or throat and will be absorbed into the bloodstream. ENGLISH READ INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USE Prior to use, carefully examine the product for proper assembly, foreign objects and damaged or missing parts. Remove any foreign objects prior to use. The product should be replaced IMMEDIATELY if there are any damaged or missing parts. If necessary, use the Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) alone until a replacement is obtained. If the patient's symptoms worsen, please seek immediate medical attention.The MDI should be depressed as the patient begins a slow inhalation. Maintain an effective mask/face seal, and ensure the patienttakes 5-6 breaths through the chamber after depressing the MDI. Ensure the physician's dosage instructions are followed and that only one puff of medication is delivered at a time.Follow instructions supplied with the MDI regarding the amount of time to wait before repeating instructions 3-6 as prescribed. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1) Remove the cap from MDI canister and place the mask connector over MakroChamber¡¯s mouthpiece until fits security. 2) Look inside both ends of MakroChamber for any objects they don¡¯t below there. 3) Shake the MDI immediately before each use.Insert the MDI into the Backpiece of the MakroChamber. 4) Place the mask over your nose and mouth with security, exhale completely, press MDI and immediately inhale slowly. Hold breath for 8-10 seconds. 5) Wash your MakroChamber carefully and clean at least 1 time in a week. Do not use any soap or any chemical wash agents. Do not overheat the silicon mask and medical grade Bottle of Makrochamber.
