- The design factors to be considered for dryer section are evaporation rate, operational aspect , and paper properties. Shrinkage of the paper on dryer section would reduce hardness and strength. But paper tear is reduced if paper is spread
Description
- The conventional type of two tier dryer section, paper would be forwarded as two rows on the heated cylinders. Canvas will add pressure to the paper and increase heat transfer to the paper from the cylinder. By installing additional spoiler bar, energy transfer would be increasing and CD profiling is better.
The drying rate would be effected by the cylinder quality, steam temperature, heat transfer rate from cylinder to paper, room moisture condition. The high evaporation would be possible when the paper run between the cylinder to cylinder.
