The nonferrous metal has the high penetration ability into the refractory structure
as compared to the molten steel.
Then, it is required to select the refractory with relatively small diameter
of pore and fine refractory.
The refractory for Aluminum furnace is mainly the irregular and dense type. The furnace using Cu,Zn and Pb applies Al2O3-SiC and MgO-Cr2O3 based refractory. We have the remarkable performances in non-wetting based irregular refractory field using the special additives.
